Let’s connect, Bradenton! There’s a new face in our Connect Bradenton space and we wanted to introduce you. Jessica Lehr is a licensed Massage Therapist and Esthetician and owner of Absolute Tranquility of the Body & Mind Inc. We first met Jessica at our Let’s Connect networking group when it was in-person. Side note: Our Thursday meetings have now moved to virtual meetings via Zoom.
Get to know Jessica in the Q&A below!
Where are you originally from?
I was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania.
When did you move to Bradenton?
I wanted a change of scenery (I lived in the same place my whole life), my grandparents lived on AMI and I thought what better way to make a new start. What’s that saying; “life is better at the Beach”. I decided to use the move as, not only a new place but to also improve upon my career by signing up to become a Dual Licensed Massage Therapist and Skin Care Specialist. In 2011, I started my training at Florida College of Natural Health to get a Certified degree as an Esthetician (skin care specialist).
Eight months later, I had my first job as a Board Certified (NCBTMB) Licensed Massage Therapist and Florida State Licensed Esthetician.
Luckily, I network with amazing professionals at the Connect Bradenton office so finding the best space in West Bradenton for my new location was a breeze.
How long have you been a Massage Therapist and Esthetician?
I have spent the last eight years as an LMT and Esthetician. I have never been so in love with life and my career.
Why did you choose Connect Bradenton to open your West Bradenton office?
Luckily, I network with amazing professionals at the Connect Bradenton office so finding the best space in West Bradenton for my new location was a breeze. I chose Connect because it has friendly and approachable staff with smiling faces and warm hearts. The environment is clean and well maintained, not to mention professional. And I couldn’t ask for more considering my 24/7 access to my new professional space.
My clients have also praised my new space in Connect since I started in mid-July.
I absolutely love the fact that I am now centrally located for my patients from St. Pete to South Sarasota. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge about the town and local businesses…
What’s your favorite thing about what you do?
Helping others feel and become aware of their muscular and structural well being.
I can relate to many patients due to my own physical dysfunction. My left leg/foot dystonia allows me to understand the underlying symptoms of most physical/neurological ailments. I was diagnosed at 10 years old, and I’ve been told I am one of the highest level functional Dystonia patients most neurologists have ever seen.
What’s your favorite thing about being located in downtown Bradenton?
I absolutely love the fact that I am now centrally located for my patients from St. Pete to South Sarasota. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge about the town and local businesses, from the best vegan restaurant (Happy Soul), to my favorite spot on the water.
What motivates you?
What awaits us on the horizon.
Not just for my business, but for my patients as well. Everyone can use an improvement, from ROM (range of motion), to strength, or even release from the day-to-day stress and anxiety that ‘Life’ in general creates for us. Anything can be achieved and improved through muscular/structural health.
